Individual and Group Coaching for Adults and Teens — Virtual and In-Person
ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects attention, impulse control, and activity levels. While it first develops in childhood, many people are diagnosed — and identify with having ADHD — in adulthood, because their childhood experiences overshadowed the symptoms. People with ADHD can struggle with organization, time management, focus, and emotional regulation. While ADHD can bring challenges, it also comes with strengths like creativity, hyperfocus, and high energy when well-supported or focused on something they value.
ADHD & Executive Functioning Coaching focuses on the coach and client working together to understand how the individual experiences their ADHD, and to develop new skills, patterns, habits, and systems that decrease the client's challenges while maximizing their strengths. ADHD and Executive Functioning Coaching uses a growth mindset to develop new skills for achieving future goals.
ADHD-informed mental health therapy, by contrast, focuses on supporting the client to better understand how their ADHD has impacted their past and current experiences and their sense of self. ADHD does not directly cause anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or relationship and professional difficulties — but a lifetime of navigating ADHD, and reconciling your internal experience with the demands of your world, absolutely can lead to these experiences. While there is some overlap with executive-function skill building, ADHD-informed mental health treatment focuses on how your experience with ADHD contributed to these challenges, as you process your experiences and build healthier mental and emotional patterns.
One-on-one coaching with Adam takes two forms: skill-development coaching for building the day-to-day systems and habits that make life with ADHD more manageable, and goal-focused coaching aimed at a specific outcome you want to reach. Both start from how you experience your ADHD — and build on your strengths.
Workshops help participants understand how ADHD may impact their lives and how to navigate it. Workshops are tailored to the participants. Common workshops have been for parents of children with ADHD, newly diagnosed individuals, partners of someone diagnosed with ADHD, and professional organizations, just to name a few.
